Let’s help Hoosier Hills win an orchard!

Get them fingers rolling, friends! The Hoosier Hills Food Bank and the Monroe County Parks Department are teaming up to win an online voting grant from the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation and Edy’s Fruit Bars for as many as 50 fruit trees—the same competition we won to start the Community Orchard. The new orchard will be planted in the Will Detmer Park, and the fruit will be harvested to provide fresh, nutritious food to many folks who don’t otherwise have access to it. Please vote once a day, every day until the end of May at www.communitiestakeroot.com, and help establish yet another local food source!
